China is home to nearly 1.4 Billion people. Their ever expanding population necesitates a large supply of freshwater. China has begun construction on at least 39 dams in the southern region of the nation, designed to increase water supplies. However, these dams block water flow into their southern neighbors. In response, Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos have all begun construction on dams to preserve their own water supply. Despite these new constructions, Thailand is still struggling with low water levels. They have resorted to cloud seeding as a means to provide water.
